ज्येष्ठ अभिनेते धर्मेन्द्रजींचं निधन झालं. भारतीय सिनेमात 'सुपरस्टार' म्हणलं की त्याच्या झंझावाताचा एक काळ असतो आणि तो ओसरण्याचा पण एक काळ असतो. पण याला अपवाद म्हणजे धर्मेंद्रजी. एकापेक्षा एक सुपरहिट सिनेमे दिले, पण सुपरस्टारचं बिरुद त्यांना चिकटलं नाही म्हणा किंवा त्यांनी चिकटू दिलं नाही. मला चिकटू दिलं नाही असंच जास्त वाटतं, कारण धर्मेन्द्रजींच्या बाबतीत त्यांचं प्रतिमेहून प्रत्यक्ष उत्कट असं होतं. १९६० च्या दशकात धर्मेंद्र नावाचा एक देखणा, शरीराने अतिशय सुदृढ, मोहक हास्य, मर्दानीपणा सहज जाणवत असला तरी त्यात कुठेही दांडगाई नाही, अशा एका व्यक्तिमत्वाचा एक तरुण पडद्यावर झळकला आणि पुढे कित्येक दशकं त्याने हिंदी चित्रपटसृष्टीवर गारुड केलं. करिअरच्या सुरुवातीलाच बिमल रॉय यांच्यासारख्या दिग्दर्शकासोबत काम करण्याचं भाग्य कितींच्या वाट्याला येतं? पुढे ऋषिकेश मुखर्जी, चेतन आनंद, रमेश सिप्पी, राज खोसला, मनमोहन देसाई यांच्यासारख्या अनेक दिग्दर्शकांना धर्मेंद्र आपला नायक असावा असं वाटणं यातच धर्मेन्द्रजींच्यातल्या अफाट क्षमतेचं दर्शन होतं. आणि सिनेमाच्या खूप गुंतागुंतीच्या जगातला हा एक सरळ माणूस होता आणि म्हणूनच सर्वसामान्यांनाही तो कायम आपला हिरो वाटत राहिला. त्यांच्या स्मृतीस महाराष्ट्र नवनिर्माण सेनेचं विनम्र अभिवादन.. राज ठाकरे । #Dharmendra #धर्मेंद्र
