The Maharashtra state government has announced a new city-bus-type public transport service for the Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) areas, as part of a broader development package comprising 21 infrastructure projects. The announcement, made aims to improve connectivity across urban and suburban areas, reduce traffic congestion, and provide affordable and sustainable mobility options for residents. Officials stated that the bus service will initially cover major corridors connecting Nagpur city, Hingna, Wardha Road, and outer ring road zones, with plans to expand routes over time.
