2026 Big 12 Women's Basketball Awards: Winners and All-Conference Team Iowa State's Ashley Jones was named the Freshman of the Year, while Texas' Rori Harmon earned Defensive Player of the Year honors in the 2026 Big 12 women's basketball awards. The conference also announced its all-conference teams. Jones led the Cyclones to a 15-13 record and averaged 11.4 points per game, shooting 45% from the field. She was joined on the All-Freshman Team by Baylor's Ja'Tavia Lowery, Kansas State's Emma Chapman, Oklahoma's Madi Williams and Texas Tech's Avery Van Sickle. Harmon, a sophomore guard, helped lead the Longhorns to a 20-10 record and averaged 13.1 points per game, while also recording 2.5 steals per contest. She was joined on the All-Defensive Team by Kansas' Holly Kersgieter, Oklahoma State's Lauren Nelson, TCU's Destiny Thurman and West Virginia's Naomi Tjasa. The All-Conference First Team consisted of Harmon, Jones, Baylor's NaLyssa Smith, Kansas' Zakiyah Stewart and Texas Tech's Brynna Maxwell. The All-Conference Second Team included Iowa State's Ashley Loney, Kansas State's Addisyn Halstead, Oklahoma's Madi Williams, TCU's Destiny Thurman and West Virginia's KK Deans. The Big 12 Conference tournament is set to begin on March 10 at the Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas.
