Tropical Storm Humberto formed in the central Atlantic on September 24, 2025, and is expected to strengthen into a major hurricane by early next week. As of September 25, Humberto was located approximately 550 miles east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands, moving west-northwest at 15 mph with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) forecasts steady intensification, with Humberto potentially reaching hurricane status within 60 hours and becoming a major hurricane in 3–4 days. Environmental conditions, including warm sea surface temperatures and low vertical wind shear, are conducive for strengthening. While Humberto is not expected to make landfall, it could still impact the southeastern U.S. coast with rough surf and rip currents. Additionally, a second system, Invest 94L, is being closely monitored for potential development into Tropical Storm Imelda. If these systems come within approximately 900 miles of each other, they may interact through the rare Fujiwhara Effect, potentially influencing each other's paths and intensities. #TropicalStormHumberto #Hurricane2025 #AtlanticHurricaneSeason #FujiwharaEffect #Invest94L #USCoastSafety #RipCurrents #WeatherAlert #StormTracking #newsone
