Lara Dutta In Dubai Amid Israel-Iran Conflict: 'Lots Of Fighter Jets, Loud Booms, But Never Felt Unsafe' Actress Lara Dutta, who has been stuck in Dubai with her daughter due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, said she never felt unsafe despite the chaos around her. The 42-year-old former Miss Universe winner was in Dubai for a work commitment when the situation escalated. "I've been here (in Dubai) since February, and it's been quite an experience," Dutta told NDTV in an exclusive conversation. "I've seen lots of fighter jets, loud booms, but never felt unsafe. I'm just trying to keep my daughter safe and make sure she's okay." Dutta's daughter, Saira Dhanoa, is 9 years old and was with her mother when the conflict began. The actress said she has been making sure her child stays indoors and keeps her occupied with games and activities. "I've tried to explain things to her in a way that makes sense," Dutta said. "I've told her it's like a big game of chess, but sometimes the pieces get moved around unexpectedly. I'm just trying to keep her safe and calm." Dutta also expressed hope that wiser heads would prevail and the conflict would be resolved soon. "I hope that better sense will prevail," she said. "I hope that people will come together and find a way to resolve this peacefully. It's not worth it for anyone, especially children. They deserve to grow up in a peaceful world."#Dubai #Lara_Dutta #IsraelIran_Conflict #Saira_Dhanoa
