A trader was robbed of ₹2.5 lakh while traveling in an autorickshaw in the Kotwali area of Nagpur on October 17, 2025. The victim, identified as Ramesh Patil, was reportedly on his way to deposit the cash when the autorickshaw driver, along with an accomplice, allegedly intercepted him and forcibly seized the money before fleeing the scene. The Nagpur Police have registered a case under IPC Sections 392 (robbery) and 34 (common intention) and are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby shops and traffic cameras to track the suspects. A manhunt has been launched in the surrounding areas, and teams have been deployed to check autorickshaw stands and transit points for leads.
