The project, proposed on October 17, 2025, aims to transform Nagpur into a global business and events hub, comparable to convention destinations like Hyderabad and Delhi. Senior MADC officials confirmed that multiple land parcels adjoining MIHAN are under evaluation for suitability based on connectivity, utilities, and future expansion prospects. The proposed convention complex is expected to include exhibition halls, conference spaces, hotels, commercial zones, and entertainment facilities, designed to host international summits, trade expos, and cultural events. MADC’s Managing Director Deepak Kapoor noted that the project aligns with Maharashtra’s broader vision to position Nagpur as the “logistics and convention capital” of central India.
