Honey Singh Reveals Baldness Due to Bipolar Disorder Medication, Opens Up About Mental Health Struggles Yo Yo Honey Singh has shared a candid account of his battle with bipolar disorder, addiction, and the years of isolation that followed, revealing how his mental health struggles began during the peak of his career. Speaking on the ABtalks podcast, the singer described the intense fear and paranoia that led to a breakdown in his personal and professional life. He recounted how the symptoms first emerged while juggling a music reality show in Mumbai and an international tour with Shah Rukh Khan in the United States. At the time, he experienced sudden, overwhelming feelings of dread, convinced he was in danger of dying. “I was doing a music reality show in Mumbai and an America tour with Shah Rukh Khan. I was getting suspicious thoughts that I will die,” Singh explained. “I was in Chicago, somebody was with me and she said you have to go for rehearsal. I said I can’t go, Shah Rukh bhai called me and asked what happened, I said I will be fine, I will see you on stage.” Despite his assurances, he admitted he feared performing and tried to avoid the stage, even resorting to shaving half his head to avoid the spotlight. “I was feeling that I will die on stage and I was thinking how can I skip it,” he said. “I shaved half of my head, but they said we will make you wear the cap. I was like people are not understanding.” The singer described an emotional breakdown, feeling helpless as he struggled to communicate his internal turmoil. Eventually, he decided to step away from public life, locking himself in his house for seven years. “I called my sister and told her that something was happening to me. She said I would still have to do the show. I left midway after singing two songs.#shah_rukh_khan #honey_singh #abtalks_podcast #apollo_indraprastha_hospital #dr_ekta_soni
