The fast, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is believed to grant immense spiritual benefits. Shastri explained that the observance of Nirjala Ekadashi on June 25 will begin at sunset on June 24 and continue through the day. Devotees are advised to perform morning ablutions, offer prayers to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, and engage in bhajans and religious ceremonies. The fast is also associated with acts of charity, such as providing water to the thirsty, feeding birds, and distributing food to the needy, which are considered highly meritorious. The festival is also linked to the concept of "jal-daan" (water donation), which is believed to invoke the blessings of ancestors and bring prosperity. Shastri emphasized that even those who cannot observe all Ekadashis throughout the year can fulfill their spiritual obligations by fasting on Nirjala Ekadashi.
