Mahindra to Establish Skilling Centre in Nagpur to Support New Manufacturing Facility Mahindra & Mahindra has announced plans to establish a dedicated skilling centre in Nagpur to prepare the workforce for its upcoming 1,500-acre integrated automobile and tractor manufacturing facility. The initiative comes as the company prepares to take possession of the first approximately 800 acres of the site in Additional Butibori. The skilling centre will focus on training prospective workers in critical areas such as mechanical operations, welding, and painting, ensuring they are equipped to meet the demands of the new facility. Mahindra stated that details regarding workforce requirements, job opportunities, and the selection process will be announced as the project progresses. The greenfield facility, which was announced earlier this year, is set to become Mahindra’s largest integrated manufacturing plant in India. Once fully operational, the plant is projected to have an annual production capacity exceeding five lakh vehicles and one lakh tractors. This significant expansion underscores Mahindra’s commitment to scaling its manufacturing capabilities in the country. Alongside the main facility, the company plans to develop a 150-acre supplier park in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. This supplier park will serve as a hub for component manufacturing, supporting both the Nagpur facility and Mahindra’s existing plants in Chakan and Nashik. Workforce development is a central component of the project, with Mahindra emphasizing that technical capabilities will be built in parallel with the plant’s construction. The company aims to create a skilled workforce capable of handling advanced manufacturing processes for automobiles and tractors across multiple powertrains and emerging technologies.#nagpur #chhatrapati_sambhajinagar #mahindra_mahindra #vidarbha #additional_butibori
