Two Killed in Separate Road Accidents in Nagpur Nagpur, India — Two individuals lost their lives in separate road accidents on Saturday, highlighting the dangers of reckless driving in the city. The first accident took place around 7 p.m. near a tea stall in Yashodhara Nagar, within the jurisdiction of the Yashodhara Nagar police station. A cement mixer vehicle allegedly collided with a motorcycle, killing the rider and injuring his 16-year-old son. Ajay Gajjam, 32, was operating the motorcycle with his son Manav, 16, as the pillion rider. According to reports, the truck struck the motorcycle, causing it to crash into a road divider. Ajay was rushed to Mayo Hospital but succumbed to his injuries, while Manav is currently receiving treatment at the same facility. A case has been registered against the truck driver under Sections 281, 106(1), 125(b) BNS, and Sections 134, 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The second incident occurred later that evening, around 9:30 p.m., in Pratapnagar police station limits. A 21-year-old delivery agent, Yuvraj Alone, was driving a motorcycle at high speed when he rear-ended another two-wheeler belonging to Aditya Meshram. The collision resulted in Meshram’s death, while his pillion rider, Mayur Vadhai, 22, sustained serious injuries. Meshram was later pronounced dead at Orange City Hospital. Yuvraj has been charged under relevant sections of the law. Both accidents have drawn attention to the prevalence of speeding and careless driving in Nagpur. Authorities have reiterated the need for stricter enforcement of traffic rules to prevent such incidents.
