14 Killed In Fire At Lucknow Coaching Centre, Students Jump From 1st Floor A devastating fire broke out at a coaching centre in the Aliganj area of Lucknow on Monday, resulting in the deaths of at least 14 people. The incident occurred in a three-storey building housing a facility for students learning animation. Witnesses reported that the fire started on the top floor and spread rapidly, forcing some students to jump from the first floor to escape. At least five to seven students were seen leaping from the building, with one sustaining broken bones in the process. Firefighters and emergency teams arrived at the scene within minutes and worked to bring the blaze under control, which raged for over an hour. Authorities confirmed that 13 bodies were recovered from the premises after the fire was extinguished. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak visited the site to oversee rescue operations, stating that fire brigade personnel and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams were actively involved in the efforts. "Every room is being inspected, and all items are being checked. The smoke has severely obstructed visibility, making the operation challenging," Pathak said. The incident has prompted a high-level inquiry into the cause of the fire. Pathak noted that the exact origin of the blaze remains under investigation, though he confirmed that the building housed students aged 16 to 17.
