Supermax Movie Cast Adds Nicholas Alexander Chavez The cast of Supermax, David Gordon Green’s new action thriller for Amazon MGM Studios and Miramax, has expanded with the addition of Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Andrés Almeida, Martin Bats Bradford, and Erika Ringor. The film, starring Will Smith and AnnaSophia Robb, follows two FBI agents investigating a murder within a maximum-security prison. Production began in New South Wales, Australia, with support from the NSW Government through Screen NSW’s Made in NSW Fund. Chavez, known for his role as Lyle Menendez in Monster: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, joins the cast alongside Almeida, who appeared in Alfonso Cuarón’s Y tu mamá también and Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths. Bradford, seen in Apple’s The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey and Richard Linklater’s Hit Man, and Ringor, who previously worked with Smith on King Richard, round out the ensemble. Other cast members include Jaafar Jackson and Jason Clarke. Green directs the film from a script co-written by David Weil and David J. Rosen. The project is produced by The Picture Company’s Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman, alongside Smith and Adam Fishbach for Westbrook Studios. Executive producers include Miramax CEO Jonathan Glickman, President of Film Alexandra Loewy, COO Thom Zadra, SVP Spencer Ela, James Lassiter, Miguel Melendez for Westbrook Studios, and Natalie Laine Williams as associate producer. Chavez’s recent projects include The Technique, a psychological thriller co-produced by the creators of Longlegs and Oh, Canada, where he stars with Emma Roberts, Ben Platt, and Noomi Rapace.
