Akola Man Kills Wife 8 Days After Delivery and Then Burns Her Face In a horrifying incident that has shocked the district of Akola, police have arrested a man for allegedly murdering his wife and attempting to conceal her identity by burning her face near a temple. The deceased, identified as Ravina Pawar, had given birth just eight days prior to the incident. Her husband, Sadiq Shah Tashreef Shah, is the accused in the case. The incident came to light on Monday when authorities received information about a partially burnt body of a woman found near the Annapurna Mata temple in Dabki Road police station’s jurisdiction. The woman, aged between 30 and 32, was found with her face severely charred, making initial identification impossible. Police conducted a panchnama at the scene and sent the body for postmortem examination. Through press notes and social media, authorities later revealed the deceased’s identity as Ravina Pawar. Investigations pointed to her husband, Sadiq Shah, who was traced to Barshi Takli, where he had taken shelter at his sister’s house. He was arrested on Wednesday. According to police, the couple, originally from Shelu Bazaar in Washim district, had a love marriage and were working in Mumbai. They had recently relocated to Akola for Ravina’s delivery and were staying in a rented house. The incident occurred just eight days after she gave birth to a newborn. Investigators stated that frequent domestic disputes between the couple had escalated to a fatal level. The accused allegedly strangled his wife to death and then dumped her body near the temple. To erase her identity, he poured petrol on her face and set her on fire before fleeing the scene.#akola #dabki_road #ravina_pawar #sadiq_shah_tashreef_shah #annapurna_mata_temple
