Imperfect Women Premieres on Apple TV A new psychological thriller titled Imperfect Women is set to premiere on Apple TV later this month. The eight-episode series, created for television by Annie Weisman, stars Kerry Washington and Elisabeth Moss, who also executive produce the project. Based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name, the limited series delves into a crime that disrupts the lives of three close friends, exploring themes of guilt, retribution, love, betrayal, and the irreversible compromises people make in their lives. The story unfolds as the investigation into the crime progresses, revealing the complexities of the women’s friendship and the hidden truths that challenge their perceptions of one another. The ensemble cast includes Kate Mara, Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Leslie Odom Jr., Audrey Zahn, Jill Wagner, Rome Flynn, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Violette Linnz, Indiana Elle, Jackson Kelly, Keith Carradine, Ana Ortiz, Wilson Bethel, and Sherri Saum. Imperfect Women is a co-production between 20th Television and Apple Studios. Weisman, who also serves as showrunner, marks her latest collaboration with Apple TV following the critically acclaimed dramedy Physical. The series is executive produced by Moss and Lindsey McManus, who initially optioned the book through their production company Love & Squalor Pictures. Kerry Washington executive produces under her Simpson Street banner alongside Pilar Savone. Author Araminta Hall and writer Kay Oyegun also serve as executive producers. Lesli Linka Glatter, known for her work on Homeland and Love & Death, directs and executive produces episodes one, four, and five.
