FIR Against Tajbagh Madrasa Teacher for Alleged Sexual Abuse of 10 Boys A teacher at a madrasa in the Tajbagh area is currently on the run after being accused of sexually abusing 10 minor boys, according to police. The case came to light when a 16-year-old survivor from Madhya Pradesh reported the incident to the madrasa manager. An FIR was registered at Sakkardara police station against the accused, Atay Rasul alias Talif (26), a resident of Azad Colony, under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and other relevant provisions. The survivor, who had traveled to the madrasa in Tohit Nagar’s Gausia Colony to study Arabic and Urdu, alleged that Atay entered the boys’ dormitory around 3 a.m. on June 18. At that time, the teenager was asleep, and the teacher allegedly sexually abused him. The survivor claimed that Atay threatened him when he resisted the assault. The accused is also said to have committed a similar act on another boy who was sleeping nearby. When the incident was reported to the madrasa manager the following morning, he initially reprimanded Atay. However, upon learning that a police complaint was likely, the accused fled the premises. Sources told investigators that Atay had allegedly assaulted 10 boys in a similar manner, though the exact timeline and details of each incident remain under investigation. Maharashtra State Minority Commission chief Pyare Khan confirmed that the survivor approached his team after the incident. Khan stated that they contacted the Women and Child Development Department’s helpline and that an FIR had been registered. “Police are currently probing the matter,” he added.
