While most candidates and parents praised the logistical arrangements, the question paper sparked mixed reactions, with many students reporting it as more challenging than the original test held on May 3. At Shivaji Science College (DNC), two female students faced entry denial after arriving late. One reached the center three minutes past the 1:30 pm cutoff, while the other arrived around 2 pm. Both were visibly distressed and could not provide satisfactory explanations for their delays. The examination centers opened at 11 am, and entry restrictions were strictly enforced. Students described the retest as significantly more demanding, particularly in the Physics section. Ayush Sharma noted that the paper was "considerably tougher" than the May 3 exam, with Biology being comparatively easier. "In the earlier paper, we could comfortably attempt around 40 out of 45 questions in each section, but this time it was much harder due to the paper’s length and complexity," he said. Shranvi Kumar called the paper "balanced overall" but highlighted Physics as the most difficult section due to tricky questions. Sana Qureshi echoed this sentiment, stating that Biology was the easiest section while Physics consumed the most time. "As a nursing student, I could solve Biology quickly without much difficulty," she remarked.
