Tata Motors Launches Next Gen Tiago & Tiago.ev From ₹4.69 Lakh Tata Motors has introduced a refreshed version of its Tiago hatchback and its electric variant, the Tiago.ev, with starting prices of ₹4.69 lakh and ₹6.99 lakh respectively. The update aims to position the hatchback as a more aspirational option in a market where the segment has slowed due to the rise of compact SUVs. The Tiago continues to serve as a key product for Tata Motors, offering a blend of affordability, safety, and multiple fuel options. The Next Gen Tiago features a redesigned exterior with sharper lines and a more premium cabin, enhancing its appeal to younger buyers and urban families. The updated design includes a 360-degree surround view system with a blind-spot monitor, a feature typically found in higher-segment vehicles. The cabin has been reimagined with modern materials, improved connectivity, and convenience features to create a more contemporary driving experience. The Tiago range maintains its flexibility through multiple powertrain options, including petrol, iCNG (compressed natural gas), and electric variants. The petrol and iCNG versions are available with manual and AMT (automated manual transmission) options, catering to buyers seeking affordable automatic cars. The iCNG variant starts at ₹5.79 lakh, offering a cost-effective alternative to traditional petrol engines with lower running costs. The Tiago.ev has been enhanced with faster charging capabilities, allowing it to gain up to 100 km of range in 18 minutes. This addresses concerns about charging convenience for budget EV buyers. The electric variant also includes a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty on select models, boosting confidence for first-time EV customers. The Tiago.ev offers multiple battery pack options to suit varying driving needs and budgets.#tata_motors #battery_as_a_service #bass #tiago #tiagoev

TVS Orbiter V1 Launched at Rs 84,500 with BaaS Option TVS has launched the Orbiter V1, a new variant of its electric scooter lineup, priced at Rs 84,500 (ex-showroom Delhi, inclusive of PM e-Drive subsidy). The model features a smaller 1.8kWh battery, making it the most affordable option in the brand’s electric vehicle portfolio. Customers can opt for the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme, which reduces the price to Rs 49,999. This makes the Orbiter V1 approximately Rs 15,000 cheaper than the existing Orbiter V2, which is priced at Rs 99,900. The Orbiter V1’s 1.8kWh battery provides an IDC range of 86km, significantly lower than the V2’s 158km range. However, the smaller battery also shortens charging times. The V1 claims to charge from 0 to 80% in 2 hours and 20 minutes, compared to 4 hours and 10 minutes for the V2. Beyond the battery, the V1 retains most features from the V2, including a 14-inch front wheel, 12-inch rear wheel setup, LCD cluster with turn-by-turn navigation, over-the-air updates, and safety alerts for anti-theft, crash detection, and geo-fencing. It also includes Eco and Power modes, hill-hold assist, parking assist (reverse function), and cruise control. The 845mm long flat seat and 34-litre underseat storage remain unchanged. The BaaS scheme allows customers to avoid upfront battery costs, making the V1 more accessible. The V2’s higher price point, combined with its longer range, positions it as a premium option for those prioritizing distance and charging efficiency. The V1, meanwhile, targets budget-conscious buyers seeking a balance between affordability and practicality.#kawasaki #delhi #tvs #orbiter_v1 #bass
