Botswana Cricket to host Lesotho Men for T20I series in March 2026 The Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) will host the Men’s National team of Lesotho for a five-match T20 International series from March 9 to 15, 2026, at the BCA oval in Gaborone. This will mark the first bilateral series between the two cricket boards, as the teams have only met once in T20Is during the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Sub-regional Qualifier in Rwanda in November 2022. The series will serve as preparation for both teams ahead of the Sub-regional qualifiers for the 2028 edition of the T20 World Cup. Botswana is scheduled to host the Sub-regional qualifier in May or June 2026, while Lesotho will participate in the qualifier in Nigeria in October 2026. The upcoming T20I series will provide both teams with valuable match practice ahead of these high-stakes events. The Lesotho Men’s tour of Botswana includes the following fixtures: March 9–10: Botswana vs Lesotho (1st and 2nd T20Is) March 12–13: Lesotho vs Botswana (3rd and 4th T20Is) March 15: Botswana vs Lesotho (5th T20I) The Lesotho squad for the series includes players such as Abraar Khan (captain), Ajaz Patel, Azim Patel, Bahlakoana Mejaro, Chachole Tlali, Inshaf Mohammed, Lefulere Monanthane, Maaz Khan, Malei Khauta, Mohammed Jamadar, Mpiti Lerotholi, Tanki Khetsi, Mohleki Leoela, Tlabeli Mokemane, and Tsepiso Chaoana. The series will be played under ICC T20I team ranking points, emphasizing its importance in the global cricket calendar. This arrangement highlights the growing collaboration between regional cricket boards to strengthen competitive opportunities and prepare teams for major tournaments like the T20 World Cup.#botswana_cricket_association #lesotho_men #bcas_oval #t20i_series #icc_t20i_team_ranking_points
