The cabinet also approved a new teacher transfer policy aimed at improving the distribution of educators across the state. Over 5.5 lakh teachers, including principals and headmasters, will be eligible for voluntary transfers. The policy prioritizes placing female teachers in panchayat-adjacent areas and male teachers in panchayat block areas, aiming to address regional imbalances. The education department has already begun preparations for the implementation of the policy. Another major decision was the development of a 12th greenfield satellite township in Dehri, Rohatash district. The state government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with HUDCO for a 1-lakh-crore-rupee project to establish the township. The initiative, which includes infrastructure and residential development, was approved after sustained demands from local communities and leaders.
