In Odisha, the Subarnarekha River has exceeded the danger mark in 214 villages across the Bhograi, Baliapal, Basti, Remuna, and Jaleshwar blocks. However, water levels are beginning to recede. Rescue teams have relocated displaced residents to relief camps, and emergency personnel are on standby to assist further. Uttar Pradesh continues to face severe flooding, with 23 districts experiencing conditions similar to a flood. Over 16,000 people have been rescued so far, and the Ganga and Varuna Rivers are now overflowing into homes. More than 84 ghats along the rivers are submerged, with the Manikarnika Ghat witnessing the final rites of the deceased on the riverbank. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued warnings for heavy rainfall in several states.
