PaleyFest NY Unveils New Award Honoring Billy Crystal and Top TV Series The Paley Center for Media has introduced a new accolade, the PaleyFest Award, during its annual PaleyFest NY event, which marks the organization’s 50th anniversary. The award, set to be presented annually, recognizes Billy Crystal and several acclaimed television series, including “American Horror Story,” “Dexter,” “Tulsa King,” “Marshals,” “The Diplomat,” and “The Gilded Age.” The initiative aims to honor the cultural and creative significance of these works, aligning with PaleyFest’s legacy as a premier celebration of media and entertainment. The PaleyFest NY event will run from October 8 to 14 at the Paley Museum in New York. The schedule features exclusive screenings, panel discussions, and conversations with industry leaders. For instance, on October 8, a preview screening of “American Horror Story: 13” will be followed by a dialogue with its creative team, including Sarah Paulson and Billie Lourd. The following days will spotlight other series: “Dexter: Resurrection” and the 20th anniversary of “Dexter” on October 9, “Tulsa King” on October 10, and “Marshals” on October 11. The event concludes with panels on “The Diplomat” and “The Gilded Age,” featuring their creators and stars. Billy Crystal, a longtime PaleyFest staple, will participate in a special conversation on October 12, reflecting his enduring connection to the festival.
