Blast Box Office Day 2: Arjun Sarja's Film Surpasses Expectations with Rs 5.95 Crore Gross The Tamil-language action film Blast, directed by Subash K. Raj and starring Arjun Sarja, Abhirami, and Preity Mukhundhan, recorded a notable rise in box office earnings on its second day, accumulating Rs 5.95 crore in worldwide gross collections. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 2.15 crore net on Day 2, bringing its total India net collection to Rs 3.4 crore and India gross to Rs 3.9 crore. Overseas markets contributed Rs 1.5 crore on Day 2, pushing total overseas gross to Rs 2.05 crore. This marks a significant improvement from its opening day, which saw a relatively lukewarm response. The film’s performance on Day 2 was bolstered by a steady increase in occupancy rates across different time slots. Morning shows opened with 15.69% occupancy, which climbed to 36.08% in the afternoon, 46.15% in the evening, and peaked at 59.62% during night shows. Regionally, Chennai emerged as the top-performing area, hosting 220 shows with an overall occupancy of 49.5%, while Bengaluru, despite hosting 166 shows, recorded a lower occupancy of 14.5%. Language-wise, the Tamil version of the film drove the majority of Day 2 net collections, contributing Rs 1.8 crore, while the Telugu version added Rs 35 lakh. This performance places Blast ahead of some of Arjun Sarja’s recent releases, including Theeyavar Kulai Nadunga and Virundhu, which grossed only Rs 20 lakh and Rs 13 lakh, respectively, during their first two days. However, the film still trails behind Karuppu, starring Suriya, which has grossed Rs 198.46 crore and remains the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year.#blast #arjun_sarja #subash_k_raj #abhirami #preity_mukhundhan
