Officials have acknowledged the need to accelerate the digitization process to ensure the smooth completion of the exercise, which is critical for updating electoral rolls ahead of upcoming elections. Booth Level Officers (BLOs), who are responsible for collecting the forms through door-to-door visits, continue their efforts across the district. However, the administration has shifted focus to enhancing online submissions and synchronizing field data collection with digital processing. A senior official emphasized that the goal is to ensure seamless integration between fieldwork and digitization, stating that completed forms are being uploaded as they are received. The official also highlighted the importance of strengthening coordination between BLOs and personnel handling digital data entry to improve efficiency. Collaboration with the Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s property tax department has been introduced to leverage local knowledge for better field coverage. Staff from the municipal corporation, familiar with residential layouts and occupancy patterns, are assisting BLOs in locating households, particularly in areas with frequent tenant movement. Despite this support, BLOs remain the sole verifiers of the data collected.
