Online Inaugural Session Held at LNMU on World Water Day Lalit Narayan Mithila University’s Chemistry Department organized an online inauguration event on World Water Day 2026. The session was chaired by department head Professor Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary, with Braj Bhushan Prasad as the main guest. Dr. Anindra Sharma highlighted global disparities in water distribution and the escalating water crisis, emphasizing that it has become both an environmental and social challenge. The event saw active participation from students, faculty, and guest speakers, including Preeti Kumari, Aradhya Kumari, Shilpa Kumari, Kumkum Kumari, Arpita, MD Mahfuz Alam, and Shiv Kumar. The program began with a Vedic mantra recitation, followed by a welcome speech by Dr. Sonu Ram Shankar and a closing remark by Dr. Moni Sharma. The department announced a series of events for March 23-25, 2026, including a writing competition, a speech contest, and a closing ceremony. These activities aim to raise awareness about water conservation and sustainable practices.
