The baby, who is the daughter of a couple residing in the Mahraja Ganj district’s Panirara area, was reportedly sleeping next to her mother in their home on Friday night. Around 2 a.m., the family noticed the child was missing from her bed. Despite an extensive search conducted by the family members during the night, the baby’s whereabouts remained unknown. On Saturday morning, villagers heading to a nearby field discovered the child in a tin shed near the family’s residence. She was found in a state of partial undress, unconscious, and bleeding from her body. The sight of the child caused panic among the villagers, who quickly gathered at the scene and informed the police. The local police, upon receiving the report, immediately transported the child to a community health center in Bhathhat, where initial medical treatment was administered. Subsequently, the child was referred to BRD Medical College for further evaluation and treatment.
