Self-Assessment Encouraged for Census Participation The government has urged all citizens to participate in self-assessment for the census process, with collector Koy Sriharsha emphasizing the importance of accurate data collection. During a press conference at the collector’s office on Monday, he highlighted that the census has been conducted every decade since 1881, with the 16th census currently underway. Residents are encouraged to submit their details online, with a specific period from April 26 to May 10 allocated for self-registration. The census involves two phases: the first phase, from May 11 to June 9, will focus on household enumeration, collecting data on 33 specific questions related to each home. The second phase, scheduled for February and March of the following year, will address population details. Residents are advised to register via the official website by logging in with a family member’s account, after which they will receive a unique 11-digit mobile number. Corrections can only be made through enumerators, who will visit households during the first phase to verify information. The census aims to ensure digital accuracy and data security, with officials stating that the process will be faster and more precise compared to previous methods. Collector Sriharsha urged citizens to participate voluntarily, stressing the importance of reliable data for administrative planning. In addition to the census, the government has announced updates on grain procurement. A total of 345 centers have been established to collect 4.5 lakh metric tons of grain, with approximately 10,000 metric tons already gathered. Software upgrades have eliminated the need for manual truck sheets, and officials expect procurement to increase to 10,000 metric tons per day in the next two days.#official_website #collector_koy_sriharsha #census_process #primary_schools #collector_office
