The rally followed the company’s announcement that it had successfully completed blast trials for Limpet mines, a type of diver-carry mine used in naval defense. In a regulatory filing, Apollo Microsystems highlighted that it is the only Indian company to have developed this product for the Indian Navy. The firm stated that this milestone positions it as a provider of a comprehensive range of underwater mines, including those for shallow and deep waters, while strengthening its expertise in underwater electronic warfare systems. BEML also saw a notable rise, with its shares climbing 2.8% to reach an intraday high of ₹1,630.80. The stock closed at ₹1,603.20, reflecting a 1.08% increase. The upward movement coincided with the company’s announcement of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Delhi Metro Corporation on April 8.
