UGC-NET Results Announced This Week by NTA The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that provisional answer keys for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) will be released this week on its official website. Alongside, the agency will also publish results for the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research – National Eligibility Test (CSIR-NET), the Indian Agricultural Research Institute – All India Entrance Examination for Admission (ICAR AIEEA), and the All India Competitive Exam (PhD). Candidates are instructed to monitor the official portal for updates and are allowed to challenge the answer keys within the specified timeframe. The UGC-NET, a computer-based examination conducted twice annually, plays a critical role in determining admissions to PhD programs, assistant professor positions, and junior research fellowships in academic institutions. The first UGC-NET exam for 2026 was held from June 22 to June 30, covering 87 subjects. However, the release of results has faced delays, prompting frustration among candidates. The delay in publishing answer keys and results has been attributed to the pressures surrounding the NEET-UG exam in May, its subsequent re-exam on June 21, and the urgent demand for those results. This situation may have temporarily shifted the NTA’s focus, leading to a slower processing of UGC-NET-related tasks. Students have repeatedly urged the agency to expedite the release of answer keys, as these documents enable candidates to verify their responses and estimate their scores. Comparing the current timeline to last year’s UGC-NET schedule, the first exam was held from June 25 to June 29, with provisional answer keys published on July 5. The second exam, conducted from December 31 to January 7, saw answer keys released on January 14.#nta #ugc_net #csir_net #icar_aieea #all_india_competitive_exam_phd
