The CUET UG 2026 examination, conducted between May 11 and June 7, was held in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format across multiple centers nationwide. The decision to drop seven questions came after a detailed evaluation of student challenges, which were submitted during the period from June 9 to June 11. Once the final answer key is released, no further objections will be accepted, and candidates will not receive marks for unanswered questions. The exam witnessed unprecedented participation, with 15,68,866 candidates registering for the test. A majority of students opted for the maximum number of subjects allowed under the revised exam structure. Specifically, 8,69,959 candidates registered for five subjects, 3,63,096 for four, 2,93,660 for three, 31,011 for two, and 11,140 for just one subject. The examination generated nearly 67.56 lakh test instances and was conducted over 35 shifts to accommodate the large number of participants.
