Colorado will enter the 2026 college football season trying to rebound from a 3-9 campaign. The Buffaloes’ revamped offense, led by new offensive coordinator Brennan Marion, will rely heavily on a new receiving corps that includes transfers DeAndre Moore Jr., Ernest Campbell, Kenny Perry, and Danny Scudero. These players are expected to play key roles in the team’s offensive strategy. Several of these transfers have faced injury challenges during the offseason. Moore Jr. and Joseph Williams encountered setbacks during spring practices, while Scudero and Perry were sidelined during fall camp. Scudero, in particular, had been a focal point of concern, as he returned to practice in late August after a prolonged recovery. Earlier in the month, he was reported to be using crutches and a walking boot, later transitioning to a scooter. Perry also returned to practice, both players wearing yellow non-contact jerseys. Colorado head coach Deion Sanders expressed optimism about Scudero’s progress, stating, “Danny’s progressing. Some good news the other day. We’re hoping he’s going to return sooner than later. He’s most definitely going to play against Georgia Tech for sure. If I know Danny, he’s definitely going to do that.” Scudero has not yet resumed full-contact drills, but his return to practice represents a significant improvement from his status earlier in August. Scudero’s recovery is notable, as he joined Colorado after a breakout season at San Jose State, where he led the nation with 1,291 receiving yards on 88 catches and scored 10 touchdowns, earning All-American honors. Perry, meanwhile, brings proven production to Colorado after posting 976 yards and six touchdowns on 43 receptions at Miami (Ohio). Both players are now part of a receiving group that includes Moore Jr.#colorado #brennan_marion #deandre_moore_jr #ernest_campbell #kenny_perry
