Those whose applications were rejected have been given until 17 March at 5 PM to either submit a fresh application through postal mail or appear in person to reapply. The majority of the rejected applications, 260 in total, were invalidated due to candidates failing to meet the prescribed educational qualifications for the posts they applied for. Another 95 candidates were disqualified because their main exam application forms were not received by the commission by the deadline of 5 January. Additionally, discrepancies in birth dates mentioned in the application forms and supporting documents led to the cancellation of five applications. The commission clarified that any changes to the category or sub-category of candidates after the final submission date of the application would not be accepted. This includes cases where candidates claimed to belong to the Defence Freedom Fighters (DFF) category or the ex-servicemen category but did not submit the required proof along with their application forms. Candidates who had previously requested the commission to disregard their DFf or ex-servicemen category claims were also affected, as the commission reiterated that no modifications to the category or sub-category would be allowed after the application deadline.
