Dehu Nagar Preparing for Tukaram Maharaj Beej Sohala with Enhanced Security and Infrastructure Dehu Nagar is set to host a grand event in honor of Sant Tukaram Maharaj's Vaikunth Gaman (Beej) Sohala on Wednesday, March 5, attracting thousands of devotees. In anticipation of the gathering, the Dehu Nagar Panchayat has implemented comprehensive security measures and infrastructure improvements to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all attendees. The panchayat has deployed a total of 34 CCTV cameras across key locations, including the waste depot, STP plant, and high-traffic areas, to monitor the event in real time. These cameras will help prevent incidents such as theft or unauthorized activities while enabling swift action in case of emergencies. Additionally, the layout of the event site has been optimized to ensure seamless crowd management. Efforts to maintain cleanliness have been prioritized, with the main gate, temple premises, and 14 Tala Kari routes thoroughly cleaned using water. Major roads, including the main and internal pathways, have been repaired to address potholes, and ongoing maintenance work ensures a smooth flow of traffic. Sanitation teams are actively engaged in regular cleanliness drives to uphold hygiene standards. To cater to the large number of devotees, 16 water tankers will be stationed at crowded areas, providing access to clean drinking water. Approximately 96 portable toilets will also be set up, along with permanent sanitation facilities. As a precautionary measure, three fire extinguishers have been placed at strategic locations to address any fire-related incidents promptly.
