Dighori Horror: Did Rape Accused Live Stream Torture On Dark Web? Nagpur: Investigators are examining whether the accused in the alleged rape, torture, and attempted murder of a 16-year-old student in a Dighori rented flat live-streamed the assault on the dark web. The development has expanded the scope of the investigation into the accused’s online activities. Police sources confirmed that forensic analysis of two mobile phones and a laptop seized from the Thane-based accused is underway to verify the allegation. The accused, identified as a BBA student, operated on social media under the pseudonym “Akash Mehra” for nearly a year and befriended several minor girls online. Authorities believe he connected with the Nagpur teenager through one of her friends and maintained contact with three girls via the Discord messaging platform. Investigators are now scrutinizing the seized electronic devices to determine if other girls in Maharashtra were targeted or sexually exploited. According to police, the accused called the survivor on August 2 and lured her to a rented room in the Dighori area. There, he allegedly tied her hands and legs, sexually assaulted her, and inflicted 20 knife wounds. Top sources revealed that during the assault, he may have transmitted visuals of the incident to another person through an online platform. The police are now probing whether the dark web was used for this transmission. The investigation has also focused on the survivor’s two friends, who had previously interacted with the accused on Discord. While initial conversations were cordial, the accused allegedly became abusive over time, leading the girls to cut off contact. However, the survivor remained under his influence. Statements from the two girls are expected to be recorded to reconstruct the accused’s online network and identify any additional offenses.#nagpur #discord #thane #survivor #dighori
