Hulu Revisits Serial Murder Case with New Evidence in 'Return to Fox Hollow' Hulu has launched a new documentary series titled "Return to Fox Hollow: New Victims, Darker Secrets," which delves into the unresolved serial murder case at Fox Hollow Farm, a site linked to one of the largest unidentified human remains cases in U.S. history. The series follows the investigation into suspected killer Herb Baumeister, whose crimes spanned decades and left behind over 10,000 remains discovered in 1996. This case, second only to the 9/11 attacks in scale, has remained a mystery for years, with families of the victims seeking closure. The follow-up series is part of a broader effort to uncover the truth, building on the success of the Emmy-nominated four-part docuseries "The Fox Hollow Murders: Playground of a Serial Killer," which aired in 2025. The new project, produced by ABC News Studios, explores new evidence and developments that have emerged since the original series. Hamilton County coroner Jeff Jellison, who reopened the case in 2022, has been central to the investigation, leading efforts to identify victims and provide answers to families. Jellison, a former law enforcement officer, emphasized the emotional weight of the work. "For 30 years, these remains sat on a shelf in a box. There was no work done by law enforcement or previous coroners to identify. So these families were just... they were set aside. They didn't have answers," he explained. Since the original docuseries aired, his team has generated over 500 leads, some of which have led to the identification of two individuals. Jellison described his dual mission: "One is to identify the remains. Get them off of a shelf. Get them to a final resting spot. And the other is... getting these family members on a path of closure.#hulu #herb_baumeister #fox_hollow_farm #jeff_jellison #mark_goodyear
