Officials found unhygienic conditions, including 45 kg of rotten chicken and beef contaminated with fungus, as well as expired dairy products at the Skyye Lounge on the 16th floor of UB City. The kitchen was immediately shut down due to the alleged violations. During the inspections, authorities seized or disposed of 132 kg of food items across six establishments. At the Skyye Lounge, 45 kg of spoiled meat and 6 kg of vegetable cutlets were declared unfit for consumption and discarded. Additionally, 15 litres of used cooking oil were disposed of. Other eateries, including Royal Chain Hotel, Madras Kitchen, and Tescon Hotel, faced similar findings. For instance, 50 kg of duck and 5 kg of fish were seized at Royal Chain Hotel, while 5 kg of green peas and 5 kg of mushrooms were found at Madras Kitchen and Tescon Hotel, respectively. The inspections also targeted food storage and distribution facilities operated by Coldman Logistics and Radhakrishna Foodland, which supply products to hotels and caterers in Bengaluru.
