The Galaxy A57 gets unexpected quality-of-life camera zoom upgrade Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy A57 introduces a notable improvement in camera performance, particularly in the area of zoom transitions. While mid-range devices like previous A5x models have offered solid performance, they often lagged in finer details compared to premium Galaxy devices. The A57 aims to bridge this gap by delivering a smoother, more refined camera experience. One of the key upgrades is the elimination of blur during lens switching. Earlier models, such as the Galaxy A56, had addressed issues like slow shooting speeds and sluggish lens transitions. The A56 improved shooting speed to around 240ms, nearly matching the Galaxy S24’s 200ms, and reduced lens-switching time from 980ms to 430ms. The A57 builds on this progress by introducing blur-free transitions between zoom levels, especially between the main (1x) and ultrawide (0.6x) lenses. This enhancement is designed to make the camera feel more responsive and polished, aligning it closer with premium Galaxy experiences. Beyond the lens-switching improvements, the A57’s camera hardware includes a 12MP ultrawide sensor and a 12MP selfie camera. Samsung also highlights advancements in its Image Signal Processor, which likely contributes to better image processing and detail retention. Additionally, the device features improved Nightography with Low Noise Mode, which should enhance low-light photography. AI-based subject recognition is another added feature, helping the camera adapt to different scenes more effectively. The Galaxy A57 is set to launch on April 10, with availability expanding gradually across markets. In Europe, the starting price is €529.#samsung #galaxy_a57 #galaxy_s24 #nightography #low_noise_mode
