One of them sprayed chili powder on his face, temporarily blinding him, before the other two stabbed him multiple times. Borkar collapsed with severe wounds and died on the spot. The assailants were identified as individuals linked to underworld activities, though their exact identities remain under investigation. Borkar, who had been released from prison last year after assaulting his wife, Manisha, and attempting to kill her, was reportedly living separately from his wife. Police have detained Manisha, suspecting her involvement in the contract killing. She is allegedly connected to bootlegging operations and is based in Kanhan.
