A section of the wall then collapsed onto a makeshift cattle shed adjacent to the premises, trapping four bovines under debris. According to officials, a cow and calf belonging to local cattle owner Hemant Phulsunge died on the spot, while another cow and calf were rescued by residents and emergency responders. No human injuries were reported. Fire and Emergency Services personnel arrived at the scene within minutes to conduct rescue operations. Preliminary estimates suggested the cattle owner’s losses amounted to approximately Rs50,000. The incident has reignited longstanding concerns about the safety and legality of cattle sheds in Gawalipura, a congested area with a mix of residential and commercial properties.
