Genesis GV90: Hyundai Unveils New All-Electric Flagship SUV Hyundai Motor has introduced its newest luxury flagship vehicle, the Genesis GV90, an all-electric large SUV that marks a significant step in the brand’s expansion into the U.S. market. The GV90 represents a new design direction for Genesis and adds to the luxury brand’s lineup, bringing its total U.S. offerings to seven vehicles. This marks the largest vehicle the brand has introduced since entering the American market a decade ago. The GV90 is positioned to compete with established players in the large SUV segment, including the Cadillac Vistiq and Escalade IQ, Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, and Rivian R1S. The GV90 is Hyundai’s first full-size SUV under its luxury brand, designed to appeal to consumers seeking both luxury and advanced technology. The vehicle will be manufactured at a new Hyundai facility in Ulsan, South Korea, and is expected to go on sale in the U.S. early next year. Pricing details for the vehicle, which will be Hyundai’s fourth electric vehicle in the U.S., will be announced closer to its release. Genesis has not confirmed whether the GV90 will be available as a hybrid or gas-powered option, unlike other models such as the GV70 SUV and G80 sedan. The GV90 will be offered in two variants: the GV90 Neolun, which features coach doors that open from the middle of the vehicle, and standard GV90 trims with conventional swing doors. A "First Edition" variant will also be available, featuring special badging, wool cashmere, and other premium materials. The coach doors, also known as suicide doors, are a rare design choice in the automotive industry. Genesis emphasized that the doors were engineered to meet strict safety standards, even without a central pillar.#hyundai_motor #genesis #ulsan_south_korea #cadillac_vistiq #mercedes_benz_eqs_suv
