Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday warned Generation Z against being influenced by "external forces" seeking to "mislead them and weaken India" on the global stage. Launching the state-level 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, he emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts to empower the youth while criticizing the impact of social media abuse, intoxication, and negative campaigns on young people. Majhi asserted that Indian youth were inherently patriotic and dedicated to advancing the nation, urging them to remain vigilant against "invisible enemies" operating from foreign soil. "The youth are being misled by external forces in the digital age," he said, adding that these forces would "never succeed in their goals." He called for prioritizing patriotism, stating, "The only voice of the youth is — our country will be safe!" The Chief Minister claimed that "certain external forces were attempting to mislead" Gen Z through digital media campaigns, aiming to harm India's unity. He urged the youth to "keep away from such forces" and focus on national solidarity. "No external force can weaken India's youth," Majhi declared, framing the Triranga Yatra as a movement to "remain united and give a befitting reply to external forces." Majhi described the youth as the "future of India" destined to transform the nation into a "Vishwa Guru" (world leader) and called on Odisha's youth to "move forward and build a Viksit Bharat [developed India]." His remarks followed BJP's Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation as Union Education Minister, citing attempts to "mislead" Gen Z during protests over the NEET paper leak issue. Pradhan, who quit after the controversy, stated, "Gen Z is our children.
