Nagpur Police Mobilize 15,000 Officers to Secure 5 Lakh Pilgrims at Hazrat Baba Tajuddin Shahi Sandal Nagpur City Police deployed an unprecedented 15,000 personnel, supported by local volunteers and home guards, to manage the massive gathering of nearly 5 lakh pilgrims during the historic Shahi Sandal ceremony of Hazrat Baba Tajuddin at Tajbagh on Sunday. Police Commissioner Vishwas Nangre Patil led the operation, conducting extensive foot patrols and reviewing security measures twice last week. The event, which drew devotees from across India, required meticulous planning to ensure safety amid the dense crowds. The security operation, coordinated by Zonal DCP Rashmitha Rao and the crime branch, began seven days in advance. Police teams worked closely with the Hazrat Tajuddin Baba Trust committee, including chairman Pyare Khan, who also serves as Minority Commission chairman, to finalize arrangements. The trust’s collaboration was critical in deploying 300 CCTV cameras—100 from the police control room and 200 from the trust—to monitor the event in real time. Sector patrolling was introduced, with each segment assigned to a dedicated officer, while sabotage checks were conducted for five consecutive days. Anti-stampede measures were a priority, with rope barricades implemented to manage crowd flow. AI-driven software was used to track known criminals, providing instant alerts to field teams. A mini control room was established to coordinate command, integrating drone surveillance and live CCTV feeds to monitor crowd movement. Additional CP Vinita Sahu played a key role in logistics, ensuring traffic routes were mapped and route marches were conducted. The event’s security framework focused on two core objectives: preventing stampedes and deterring sabotage.#rashmitha_rao #pyare_khan #nagpur_city_police #vishwas_nangre_patil #hazrat_tajuddin_baba_trust
