Scooter Sales in April 2026: Honda Activa Leads, Hero Destini Posts 488% Growth The Indian scooter market recorded a significant 22.2% annual growth in April 2026, with Honda Activa maintaining its position as the top-selling model. Hero Destini emerged as the fastest-growing scooter, achieving a staggering 488.7% increase in sales, while electric vehicle (EV) demand also surged. The top 10 scooter sales report for April 2026 highlights the shifting dynamics of the market, driven by both traditional and electric two-wheelers. Honda Activa dominated the sales chart, selling 220,774 units in April 2026, a 13.3% annual increase. This model continues to hold a dominant 37.1% share of the top-10 scooter market. TVS Jupiter followed with 117,383 units sold, reflecting a 14.4% annual growth, while Suzuki Access secured the third spot with 70,339 units, up 8% year-on-year. The electric scooter segment saw robust growth, with TVS IQube leading the charge. The model sold 37,193 units, marking a 34.7% annual increase. Bajaj Chetak also performed strongly, with 34,304 units sold—a 78.5% jump from the previous year. The introduction of new models like the Bajaj Chetak range and the premium Athir Rizta further boosted EV adoption, with Athir Rizta selling 17,960 units, up 78.7% annually. Hero Destini’s meteoric rise was the standout story of the month. Sales surged from 4,393 units in April 2025 to 25,861 units in April 2026, driven by the launch of the updated Destini 125 and the new Destini 110 models. This 488.7% growth positioned it as the fastest-growing scooter in the country. In the sporty scooter segment, TVS EnTorque led with 33,994 units sold, reflecting a 33.9% annual increase.
