Special LTT-Howrah Train Announced to Tackle Summer Rush Central Railway has introduced a special train service between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Howrah Junction via Nagpur to address the increased demand for travel during the summer season. The new service, designated as Train No. 01145 and 01146, is designed to accommodate passengers seeking to move between these major cities during peak travel periods. The outbound journey, Train No. 01145, will depart from LTT at 8:15 pm on April 14 and arrive at Howrah Junction at 2:45 pm the following day. For the return trip, Train No. 01146 will leave Howrah at 6:00 am on April 16 and reach LTT at 11:45 pm on April 17. The route includes stops at key stations such as Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Akola, Badnera, Nagpur, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, and Kharagpur. The train will operate with 20 LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches, offering a range of seating and sleeping accommodations. These include AC two-tier and AC three-tier compartments, sleeper class berths, general second-class seats, and a luggage-cum-guard van (SLRD). The inclusion of LHB coaches, known for their comfort and efficiency, aims to enhance the travel experience for passengers. The decision to launch this special service comes amid rising travel demand during the summer months, which typically sees a surge in both domestic and international passenger traffic. The route between LTT and Howrah is a critical corridor for commuters and travelers, connecting major urban centers in Maharashtra and West Bengal.
