HPCL Launches 10kg Composite LPG Cylinder in Nagpur at Rs1,725 Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has introduced a 10kg lightweight composite LPG cylinder, named HP Navya, for household consumers in Nagpur at a price of Rs1,725. The new cylinder, made from composite materials, offers a lighter and more convenient alternative to the traditional 14.2kg domestic LPG cylinder. It features superfast delivery within 1.5 hours of booking and allows for unlimited refills without any restrictions. The initiative aims to address the challenges faced by households, particularly those with elderly members or individuals who find it difficult to handle heavier cylinders. The HP Navya cylinder is currently being supplied through nine HP Gas distributors in Nagpur. According to Bablu Tiwari, president of the LPG Dealers Association of India, customers will not need to go through the conventional process of obtaining a new LPG connection to purchase the cylinder. Instead, it can be delivered with minimal paperwork, streamlining the process for users. Tiwari emphasized the cylinder’s advantages, stating, “The most important thing is that it is lightweight, will be delivered at the earliest, and there is no need for taking connections. It can be delivered with just minimal paperwork and there are no restrictions on refills.” The composite cylinder is designed for households seeking a lighter alternative to traditional metal LPG cylinders, which are often cumbersome to lift and move. Its lightweight design is expected to be particularly beneficial for senior citizens and families where lifting conventional cylinders poses a challenge.
