Jammu Kashmir Government Orders Transfers and Postings of IAS, JKAS Officers The Government of Jammu and Kashmir issued an order on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, directing immediate transfers and postings of several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers. Anil Banka, an IAS officer with the Administrative Grade of Member of the Union Territory (AGMUT: 2015), currently serving as Special Secretary in the Finance Department, has been transferred to the position of Director, Industries and Commerce, Kashmir. He will assume his new role replacing Khalid Majeed, a JKAS officer, who has been directed to await further adjustment orders in the General Administration Department. Mahima Madan, an IAS officer with AGMUT: 2021, who previously held the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Jammu and Kashmir Economic Growth Agency (JaKeGA) and Director of Defence Labour Procurement, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kathua. Her new role will take effect in place of Vishavjeet Singh, a JKAS officer, who has also been instructed to await further instructions. Asha Choudhary Malhotra, an IAS officer with AGMUT: 2022, who had been awaiting administrative adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been appointed as CEO of JaKeGA. Bihar IAS Officers to Attend Training in Mussoorie Bihar’s 38 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers will participate in a training program at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie from May 11 to June 5, 2026. The initiative, organized by the state government, aims to enhance administrative capabilities and governance practices among senior officials. The training will cover topics such as policy formulation, management skills, leadership development, and public service delivery. The program will include 19 district magistrates (DMs) from key districts across Bihar, including Shivharg, Kaimur, Munger, Buxar, Arwal, Shekhpura, Madhepura, Araria, Saran, Siwan, Kishanganj, West Champaran, Bhagalpur, Aurangabad, Nawada, Purnia, Vaishali, Sitamarhi, and Katihar.
