IIM-N Launches Integrated 5-Year BTech-MBA Program With IITs At Pune Campus The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM-N) has announced plans to introduce an integrated five-year BTech-MBA program in collaboration with leading Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) at its upcoming Pune campus. The initiative, part of IIM-N’s Strategic Roadmap 2026-31, aims to create a multidisciplinary learning environment focused on technology, management, and industry integration. The Pune campus, set to be established on a 70-acre land parcel in Moshi, will also host a five-year integrated BBA-MBA program. Director Prof Bhimaraya Metri revealed that admissions to the BTech-MBA program will be based on JEE scores rather than CAT, reflecting the engineering-centric nature of the curriculum. Under the program, students will spend three-and-a-half years studying engineering at IITs before transitioning to management studies at IIM-N’s Pune campus for the remaining one-and-a-half years. Metri emphasized that partnerships with select IITs will underpin the program’s structure. The Pune campus is projected to become a key growth hub for IIM-N, with a focus on emerging fields such as manufacturing, Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies. Metri highlighted that the institute’s vision for Pune diverges from traditional satellite campuses, aiming to cultivate leaders who grasp the interplay between technology and business. Simultaneously, IIM-N is expanding its Nagpur campus to accommodate increased enrollment for its flagship MBA, Executive MBA, and short-term programs.
