In an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Shiver described Moore as someone who “controlled everything that was going on in my life,” adding that those in power at the university “didn’t do anything about it.” The allegations emerged after Moore was fired by Michigan in December 2023 following Shiver’s disclosure of their relationship, which the school deemed a violation of his contract. Shiver’s relationship with Moore began in 2022 when she was an intern under his supervision as offensive coordinator under Jim Harbaugh. She was promoted to executive assistant in 2024 after Moore became head coach. During their time together, Shiver said she was frequently instructed by coaching staff to console Moore during moments of distress, including during halftime.
