The forward turned and struck from distance to find the back of the net. San Diego sealed the win in stoppage time when Lia Godfrey’s through ball found Trinity Byars, who finished into an open net. The victory marked the Wave’s fourth clean sheet of the season. Angel City, meanwhile, arrived at the matchup following a 2-0 win over Orlando Pride on July 3.
