The incidents began when the accused, identified as Ayyaz and Madare, allegedly brought a liquid in a plastic bottle and forced her to drink it while chanting in Urdu. They also reportedly blew something on her face and committed rape, describing the acts as hypnosis and black magic. On May 31, Madare and his accomplice took her to Kalmeshwar, where a third accused, Hazrat Maulana from Tamiya village in Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh, performed rituals. During the ritual, the woman was allegedly compelled to utter “Qabul hai qabul hai,” a phrase associated with conversion. Maulana reportedly declared her converted to Islam and married to Ayyaz. The group then took her to a hotel where Ayyaz raped her again. The woman alleged that the accused continued to visit her residence and assaulted her sexually multiple times afterward. Initially, she did not report the incidents due to fear but later informed her husband and approached the Sonegaon police station, where an FIR was registered. Man Axes Stalker to Death Over Wife’s Harassment Nagpur: The Local Crime Branch (LCB) Nagpur Rural has uncovered a cold-blooded murder disguised as an accidental death. The victim, Yogesh Sambhare (36), a resident of Kalmeshwar, went missing on May 11. His body was recovered from a well near a farm in Nimboli Upravahi on May 17, after which an accidental death case was initially registered under Section 194 of the Bombay Natural History Society (BNS) Act at Kalmeshwar police station. Acting under the supervision of SP Harssh A Poddar and Addl SP Anil Mhaske, a special LCB team conducted a parallel probe. Through interrogation of relatives, technical evidence analysis, and secret informant inputs, the team exposed the murder plot. The accused, Dhanraj Modarkar (37), also from Nimboli, was arrested. During questioning, Modarkar confessed that he killed Sambhare after learning that the deceased was allegedly harassing and threatening his wife. On May 11, Modarkar struck Sambhare on the head with an axe in a field at Nimboli. The body was later dumped in a well to destroy evidence. A murder case has now been registered under various sections of the BNS Act. The accused has been arrested and is in police custody. Bomb Scare In Nagpur: 2Kg Explosives Found Nagpur: A significant bomb scare unfolded in the city on Tuesday when fifteen live gelatin sticks and 58 detonators, including eight with connectors, were discovered in the garden of Prof Ujwal Lanjewar’s residence in Central Nagpur. The location, just 5 kilometers from the RSS headquarters, triggered an immediate emergency response. Bomb detection and disposal squads, Petroleum & Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) officials, anti-terrorist units, and other central and state agencies rushed to the scene after the professor’s family alerted the police control room in the morning. The recovered explosives totaled 2 kilograms, with each 25mm detonator weighing 125 grams. A bomb disposal squad official confirmed the materials were live and dangerous, emphasizing the potential devastation if detonated simultaneously. An explosives expert warned that such an explosion could have caused an impact akin to an improvised explosive device (IED) or artillery shell blast. The expert highlighted the proximity of a petrol pump at Dosar Chowk, just 15 meters away, and a Metro track 14 feet above, which could have been severely affected. The explosives were subsequently moved to a secure magazine in Kalmeshwar for analysis. A case has been registered under the Explosives Act against unidentified individuals. Police sources revealed that an ammunition dealer has been identified, and multiple teams are verifying the movement of the explosives and their handlers. Security measures have been heightened, with the city placed on alert.
